    pwall's 150g home tank

    Hi.

I'm new to Aquaria.ca. My first experience was two weeks ago when I ordered a Pinpoint salinity monitor from Ivan. I received it last week and it works just great.
I've been reading through a lot of the threads in this forum and have even replied to a few posts (recently the story about my 'box' crab). The experience and knowledge of those on the forum is just awesome!

My aquarium experience goes back about 12 years with fresh water tanks, but more recently have moved to reef tanks. I decided to install a reef tank at home but before doing that, I converted my 20g fresh water tank at work to a reef tank to gain experience before 'diving' into a larger tank. That was February 2004.
I finally got my tank at home setup over the summer. It's a 150g tank and is built inside the wall, with access to the back of the tank through the furnace room.

    My setup includes:
    150g tank
    35g sump tank
    20g isolation/integration tank
20g auto-top up tank (keeps the sump tank water level within 1/2 inch)
    Supreme Mag7 700gph main pump
3 maxi-jet powerheads (on a Natural Wave timer power bar)
    2-200watt heaters
    Protein Skimmer
    Digital thermometer
    4-40w actinic lights
    2-400w 10K MH lights
    1w moonlight

    Livestock (that I added)
    2 false percula clown fish
    1 Yellow Tang
    1 cleaner shrimp
    1 Royal Gramma
    1 starfish
    >20 snails
    ~100 blue legged hermit crabs
    1 red legged hermit crab
    1 large fanworm

Here is a picture of my tank (which is built into the wall).
    Regards,
    Patrick.

Red Legged hermit crab with 3 fan worms attached to it. And of course, the Yellow Tang (Bubbles) who seems to really like the camera.

And last....this is my 20g tank at work.
It contains 1 clown fish, 1 cleaner shrimp, 2 blue-green chromis, 1 red-legged hermit crab, 1 fan worm and a bunch of snails and blue-legged hermit crabs.

My apoliogies for posting each picture seperately....if someone knows how to put a series of photos in on reply, I'd like to know how.

    Later....
    pwall

    Thanks StephG.
The open space was left on purpose to leave room for clams and brain corals and such.
