Basic Sump / Refuge
I am posting this so people who are new to the hobby or sump / Refuges and closed loop systems will have a simple visual example of the intended idea.

Just wondering what the little red circles were before and after the pumps and on the return where the water gets split on the way back up to the aquarium?

Flow control / shut off valves. You need them if you need to remove the pumps and to control flow on the return to control water going to the refuge.

Nice visual aid Rob... I think that's a great way to initiate some of the newer people to these concepts...
A picture is worth a 1000 words... :thumb:
It's not junk, it's un-assembled DIY!

Thanks Van .. I get a lot of messages and mail about this stuff as I am sure you guys do. So I figured I would just quickly draw something up for everyone who is new.

I know that i'm going to use it. It's kind of hard to visualize some of the stuff that all the "pro's" are talking about but that really helped!!!!
Thanks Alot,
