You are lucky, your better half likes the hobby. I just showed mine the pictures that Tang Man posted, and she got a very nervous look on her face :scared2:

Bristleworm...
You SHOWED her the pics? LOL... it's all over now...
Just kidding...
Actually, mine's not all that bad, she's somewhat like Fishy's wife. All into it until she finds out the price...

Mine just doesn't really have any interest. She thinks my tank looks good and everything, and she is probably going to go to the IMAX with us, but that's about it. I do know that the sound of running water (ie: fountains) bugs her.
She has no idea at all how much I spend.:wink3:

heheh...
Mine likes the sound of running water (feng-shuei)... provided it's not coming from a leaking tank...
As for not knowing what you spend... Lucky man, lucky man...

Getting back to my thread here....
Toutouche, with the bigger tank that you're planning in the near future, have you thought of humidity and heat issues that may affect you?
I know that with the Central Air that you installed, you're not sweating (pun intended) over the heat issue...
However, what about evaporation and humidity in the winter months?

Tanggeek,
Remember the vent I was going to install in the hole that is existing in my canopy? Well, I'm still doing that on my upgrade. The same as what Mr. Fishy has just done basically. It will veny up straight through the roof. Also, downstairs for the filter area, as you know I'm in the process of finishing off the basement and eventually the room will be closed too and also have a vent to the outside directly and independant from the vent in the canopy.

Toutoucherama,
Sure, I get that... I remember the vent you had installed.. But what about in the winter? You close off the vent so that cold doesn't sneak back in the house, but then you're keeping the humidity in too...
