Signs of Fish Stress
Hi All,
Although I've already been reassured by a few people, I wanted to check with the rest of you for some more opinions...
I received my first 2 fish on tuesday, a pair of false clowns. Both ate tuesday night however since then the female only eats Cyclopz-EEZ while the male will eat both the cyclopz and mysis. The male also seems to hang around the center of the tank while the female is up against the back glass on the tank constantly swimming up-down-left-right almost as if she is following here reflection in the glass (in a mostly square pattern) . These are so far the only fish in my 77 gallon tank.
Could the female be exhibiting signs of stress or is this normal ? The area the female is swimiing is also in the direct flow of one of the powerheads so maybe she just likes the current...
comments anyone ?
thanks,
Nick.

Hi Nick,Maybe the Clown is just getting used to its new home. Are your water parimeters up to par? Amonia - Nitrites?
Don't worry about it not eating both types of food.My bengia Cardinal will only eat frozen food.
IMO...i think hes is just getting used to its new surroundings
Phins Up ^^^^^^^

I think they feel safe rubbing up against something, like as if they were in an anemone.
My small clowns sleep inside my big toadstool leather at night when it closes. You can see them wiggling back and forth inside in the dark and in the early morning.
I think it's just a reflex action to find a safe place like an anemone.

It's not junk, it's un-assembled DIY!

ah man... I so wish I could buy a nice big coral like that around here... I can't buy just one from IJO since it becomes way too expensive !

Once your tank has been set up for awhile, instead of ordering just one coral make a small list of things you need and then when your ready make a larger order. Saves on shipping
a few corals, pumps ,additives things of that nature.

Yup... so far that's what I've been doing.. I think I've made 3 orders so far all in the 200$+ range but it gets hard on the budget after a while... I want more ! This hobby is harder on the budget than crack.
