Trouble, my Six line picking on my Dispar Anthias.

I donít know why but Iíve check on the compatible chart at (http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/c...lity_chart.cfm) to see if my Six line and my Dispar Anthias will be compatible with each other and it says that they are! But when I threw them in the main tank; The six line start picking on them.. Why?

My Dispar Anthias are the new comer. :O

Well those charts are guide lines...and fish are totaly unpredictable.....What i do in those circumstance I separate the tank with an egg crate so that the fish see each other but never crosses path...I leave it like that for at least 2 weeks minimum...then the transition seams to go alot smoother...the fact is that alot of fish that we put together in our tanks are not even in the same sea..in nature there is no way that they even cross path....thats why i do the separation thing so they somewhat get used to each other....

Funny, my 6line always got along with all my other fish except for one new false perc I added. 6line damm near killed it! Tormented it for a good 2 days until the clown ducked in the LTA, after that no problems. Volitan's idea sounds great to me!

    Cool

actually, its not odd at all. 6 lines have been known to have a pugnacious attitude most of the time! reefsafe does not mean peacefull towards all fish. that being said, there normally okay with other fish except some other wrasses and mandarins [dragonettes]

I find it odd too. My 6-line has been in with everything from seahorses to clowns and other wrasses. I've never had even a glimmer of this evil fish people are talking about.

All of the other 6-lines I've dealt with in customer tanks have been very peaceful as well. Maybe there's something in the water farther up north! :P

my 6-line used to pick on my Lyretail Anthia, now they just ignore each other. maybe he'll just get over it and accept his new tank-mate.
