Cacoon like things growing on feathers?

I have noticed the past few days that there are about 7-10 small cacoon like things growing on top of 1 rock. It looks like they grew around some small feather dusters... unsure as to what's going on there? I'll take some pics later on if I can get the resolution good enough..

Also, all over my glass inside there are these little things: one small white dot, with spider like legs that sway in the current, but stay attached to the tank sides.. they are no larger than a flea!

I have tons of them in my sump. I don't know what they are but I do know that they are a harmless filter feeding creature. I would not be worried about them at all.

Looks like what I have in my QT. Q-tip sponges. Harmless, from what I have read. Some say it could be due to low water circulation. I have them growing all over on my only live rock.

Yes thay are harmless sponges. This type grows in low flow areas and usually dissapear after awhile. They often are one of the first sponges to appear in a newer tank setup. There is probably a certain microscopic lifeform that grows during a part of the natural cycling stages of a tank that the sponges like tp feed on and therefore multiply at that time.
