This is what i found on the net.

    Thumbs up

sorry, but if its made from RIO I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. they've fried so many tanks over the years and have never try'd to fix the powerheads or apologize for the poor suckers whom lost there entire setups.

I agree JR the RIO line was a big problem, thats why I still have not brought them in.
But the SEIO`s well thats a whole dofferent pump.CE ,UL approved and with over 1000 units sold of 820 no returns well 1 for missing suction cups.

So you can`t compare the two pumps(RIO vs SEIO) that would not be a fair judgement.

As for compared to other pumps they are very good since they have many options and positions, swivel, fixed, air injection ect.
We recieved the 1100 gph and 1500 gph models and they push water and next month the new 2600gph is out.
And a whole lot of nice additions are in the works and should be out soon, that will make these pumps even more popular.

RIO is completely different that seio, and that is truly sad if you put them together in one pile. Seio pumps are amazing, I am currently running two 1500 models for over a month and WOW. And for the price compared to tunze I will stick with seios. There is also talk about them coming out with a controller like tunze. You do you a search on Reefcentral you will see many people on the same boat.

No JR still the same Company T.A.A.M but new manufacturing plant. They have completly revamped the RIO line with the HYPERFLOW line which several onliners keep it with very good feedback so far.I am going to test a new hyperflow soon to see how it fairs compaired to its older model RIO.

And YES the prototype is quite impressive! cant say more, but I think everyone will be impressed when it hits the market,And the price will be quite good to!

Does the SEIO swivel on it self... I'm looking for something that can change the surrent of place(like a t-rats). Except that I cannot use the t-rat as I dont have a sump.

    Any idea...

Are you asking does the seio have a rotating motion of any kind, then no. I believe reefvan is in the process of building something that will do this with either a seio or tunze.
