Galaxy coral and Zoo .... Bottom or Top of the tank?

    Hi guys

just got a Galaxy and some Zoo's from Ivan (got it in the mail this morning)

    I have 1 x 400W on the Right and 1 x 250W on the left...

    (80G tank)

Where do you suggest me to place those little piece of rocks?

    Upper Left for the Galaxy?
    Bottom?
    Right?

    I'm bit confused about lighting.

    Thanks for your help

keep these 2 things in mind,
GALAXIA will grow fairly big but has LONGGGG sweeping stinging corals.

ZOANTHIDES. do well pretty much anywere but they can spread far and wide.

Galaxy corals grow quickly, and like Johnny said, have long sweepers. My 4-5 inch galaxy could sting corals 8-10 inches away. Give it plenty of room all around. I have 250 watt MH, and have kept them both higj and middle of the tank with no issues.

I have a Galaxy that I've purchased over a year ago. It has deteriorated quite a bit. Many polyps have died. I'm not certain why. My other corals fair pretty well in my tank (LPS and few SPS). I've tried at the bottom, and also way up near the MH lighting. Any tips?

My galaxy is one of my oldest corals. I have had it over 3 years. It grows slowly but steadily in my tank under the VHOs. I have always kept it close to the surface.

If you put it way up near the MH lights, do it gradually. The only other thing I can think of is they like a moderate flow, not really strong. Make sure the coral sways in the current gently without blasting it.
