    Would Seahorse get along with..

I have two seahorse in my 75gal full with rocks and sps.
I was thinking of adding a pipe fish and other kind of slow feeding fishes like the pipe and seahorse.

My question is, would get get along?

I don't think seahorses could handle that much flow and that little food. I think SPS and seahorses come from very radically different habitats.

Bvoss is right on the money. Seahorses require species specific tanks. The flow, light, feeding, etc, is very much the opposite of what seahorses require.

Pipes need even more specialized tanks than the seahorses....they're even less suited to a SPS reef tank.

That's really going to depend on the pipe fish. I believe the ones with 'fan' shaped tails that swim around are suited for sps tanks.

The ones that hook onto things like a sea horse, need the same type of environment as a sea horse.

JR has a really nice pipe fish in his 500G tank. Unless I've missed something, it was doing quite well. There's some pics of it in the MASO 10 thread.

    Cheers!

Krugar is right. There are 2 types of Pipefish. Ones that cling and not suited to higher flows and the other that are free swimmers that do well in a reef. I had one and JR also has another type suited for a reef setup. Also, if your question was specifically if the Seahorses and Piepfish will get along, then they should as they are both from the Seahorse family. However, don't put actual Seahorses in a SPS tank.
