    Pods eating coral?

    Hey all,

Well I finaly got my first coral at Maso 11! I'm pretty happy with it. It's a green candy cane frag and I put it in my tank just a few hours ago. It's pretty nice under my actinics ... it's got a nice green glow. It opened up nicely and seems to like it's new home. Well now that my lights are off I can see that my pods like it too. I can see 3-5 pods on the coral. They're sort of picking on the stock of the coral but not on the polips. Is this normal behavior? Should I be worried?

    Thanks,

    StephG

Nope, they are not hurting it, just looking for snacks!

Those pods are all part of your cleanup crew and they are simply doing their job. Unless you have something that is known to be bad for your tank, it's always good to give it the benefit of the doubt as most often they are beneficial and the very reason why you pay an insane amount of money for a piece of rock!!
