KHOA, you worked so hard to get were you are, why sell everything?? just pay someone to checkup on your tank and topoff?? your fish will do fine if they eat only twice a week.

I know Johnny i've been working very hard to get this tank up and running.
When i get back from asia, i will like to start all over again with just rock in my new 180gal.

Now that i have a better understanding on how all these stuff work, i will enjoy it more with a new setup and tank.

That way i will have time to kill all of the 110 kabillion trillion aptasia i have on my rocks.

Any tip on killing them all!?
    Thanks for the concern johnny.

Since your starting why not bleach your rocks but keep the substrate running,...a shrimp once in while thrown in the tank rotting would feed the bacterias till you come back

Jeeze if you're going to that extent, just let the rocks dry out & re-cure them. After a month it'll all be base rock.

You might try the less drastic measure of turning off the lights & not feeding the tank while you're gone. Aiptasia has to eat something... At least then something on the rocks would survive for your next tank.

    Cheers!

If you take the coral out, then you could simply add some Peppermint Shrimp to eat the Aiptasia. A month would be plenty of time for them to clean up a fair share of it.

You would then want to remove the shrimp if you plan to house any softies in the tank.
