    Mushrooms

I have noticed lately that a couple of my mushrooms have extended themselves up vertically toward the surface. I've never seen this before, and I don't know what it means. The mushroom has formed sort of a funnel, and it looks pretty wierd. It has grown about an inch upward. Any ideas? Does it need more light?

Yes maybe more light. I've seen this exact thing mentioned in RC, and the general answer is the mushrooms want more light.

But having said that, I've seen some of my mushrooms did that once awhile, but not consistently every day tho.

Yup, more light. That or they are in too high flow and are getting ready to detach.

I have about 5 watts per gallon, so should I just move them closer to the top of the tank?
