    Unhappy Coral banded shrimp.

Now I'm hearing that the coral banded shrimp and the lawnmower blenny will nip my (non-existant at the moment eventually to have) corals?
    say it ain't so!

I'm hearing different things. Some say they will try to pop open closed corals at night if they're starving. But if fed they don't bother too much, which is why I bought him/her. Now I'm not too sure.
It was kind of funny when I introduced my lawnmower to the tank and the shrimp scurried over with arms open and the blenny sat still while the shrimp kind of hugged him and then walked away.

Coral Banded shrimp are predators of opportunity and will feed on what ever they can catch ... corals are easy to catch. I would not put it past them that they might have a snack on a coral if hungry. I also would not put one in a community tank that contains small fish or other shrimp.

Well, the tank stocking is of course very limited at 25g, I figure I've got it stocked to maximum now with just the wrasse, blenny, and the shrimp and 5 hermits. (a few snails when the algae starts up)
I'll give it a go with corals and if problematic he'll be in the classified section on here. Very entertaining animal, bad news.
    Thanks for the input.
