    Keeping calcium up

I notice after I do a 20% waterchange my calcium level drops from 450 to 350.
I've got aragonite and in the tank, no corals yet, so I'm not worried.
How do I keep calcium levels from this up and down yo-yo?
I'm using b-ionic 1 and 2 for alkalinity, ca. and traces.
    Thanks.

Did you test your new salt water?

Some salts make water with pretty low calcium levels. You might want to dose the change water before you add it to the system.

    Swimfins,
I'm guessing that you're probably using Instant Ocean salt which is notorious for being low on calcium, and high on alkalinity.

When mixing new water, I usually "buffer" it to my CA, alk, and pH requirements before performing the waterchange.

Yes Instant ocean. I was told its low on ca. So, I guess I have to buy reef calcium to add separately to the change water.
