    Clam placement

I placed 2 clams on the sandbed and they both dug into the substrate for the first 2 days. Now they have tilted to one side, they are opposite each other and have tilted the same way. Is there a proper way to place them concerning flow and such?

Crocea clams are rock boring... it would be best if you placed them on the rockwork instead of the sandbed.... remember... once they attach to the rock... chances are you won't be able to move them unless you move the rock itself(I would palce them on a small piece of rock). HTH

Find smaller piece of rock rubble at your LFS and have the clam attach to that just in case you want to move it in thefuture you will not damage it.

I have one that is attached to the inside of a snail shell and can move it anywhere anytime. If there is enough Phytoplankton in the tank you can place the clam in a position that reflects the colours more effectively and it should still be able to feed adequately, you can even move it onto a suitable spot on the rocks if you want to make sure it gets more light.

    Thanks,
