    Live Rock Covered in Dust?

It seems ever since I installed my new power heads, my live rock is forming a layer of what seems to be like dust. I have reached into the tank to shake off the rock hoping the filter might clean it out of the tank, but I am not able to get it all. Is this a type of Algae or something? The weird thing is my base rock doesnt seem to have this problem..

It is probably just the increased flow in the tank blowing all the junk out of your live rock. If there wasn't enough flow through the LR before then that would be my guess. If your levels are still good then give it time and it will probably clear up. If you take a turkey baster and blow some water into one of the wholes in the rock, you will see all the stuff that comes out. Its pretty gross lol.
