    Painting Aquarium

I was wondering what type of paint people have used to paint the back of their aquarium... I was using a solid blue back drop, but it is a pain in the but and would like to paint it.

i would go for a acrylic paint, they stick well to glass and is easily removed if u don't like the colour
don't use oils cause you'll never get it off

I used craft paint for both my tanks. The stuff in the small bottles at Michaels (or White Rose if any still exist).
It spreads easy, drys fast, cheap, and if you ever have to remove it, it comes off so easy.

So most people paint the back side of thier tanks as opposed
to using the background paper the shops sell? I also see people
    use tin-foil for the back.

    Cheers

Rob (One Salty Dog) did an interesting job on the back of his 225, it was sort of like sponge painted with a couple of different shades. Turned out nice from what I could see in the pics!

Yes, most of us paint the back of our tanks.
After a while, the back will be covered in coraline anyways.
And salt creep will eventually find it's way between the tank and the background paper anyways.
