    reactor question

Can a calcium reactor and a phosban reactor be used in a system without a sump. Also I'm considering on adding a kalk reactor to my top up system. Does any one use one of these and if so your thoughts on them and where is a good place to look for one? Thanks in advance.

    Hi johnmorris,

    It sure can,
The calcium reactor`s effluent can be placed anywhere that you will get some water movement, such as the return from your filter, same would apply for your Phosban reactor.I suggest this method just as a personal choice since it will be well distributed throughout the water column.

I didnt think the price for the package was to bad but I am also aware that you get waht you pay for. For that money is there another option or just invest more in a better one.

For the price you cant go wrong. We have a simular model from pacific coast that works fine for smaller systems. The coralife package is a great deal considering there including all the extras.

Will the corallife one be sufficient for a 77 gallon? I plan on keeping a mixed reef with softies, lps and some sps. I'm hoping to buy a reactor that will do the job right from the start so that I won't have to upgrade later on down the road. Can Ivan get these I wonder?

How much lead time do you need? Was looking to get one say for the first or second week of January if possible.
