    Your pics needed!!!

    HI,

I'm currently doing a project that involves a 2 minute underwater 3D scene.

Can people please send me some side on (and head on pics of your fish if possible) with clear pics of thier markings and colourings. Also all types of corals and nice clear pics of the "skin" texture, not macro though, as the textures will be used for realistic "skin", and macro of fish and corals I can't use. front, top, sides, all pics welcome, though i need a "good side on pic" for corals and fish to work with.

I've seached the web, and found that the pics i've taken from my tank are better, though limited in varieties, and was hoping that people would be happy to send their great pics.

I'll send everyone that sends a pic used a 3D model of their fish or coral or both and the finished movie.

If you have pics that you'd like to send, please email them to

    amajater@gmail.com

remember to include your name in the email (forcredits, and the species name)

    Thanks in advance
    Tiff.

Tiffany you can look here: http://www.chrisncarol.com/gallery/v...albumName=Reef and use whatever you wish. Also if there is a fish or coral you like and cant find a good pic to use just let me know I can also take different angle/shots.

Thanks for all the pics that everyone has sent, they're great.

Full side shots and head shots are the main for fish and corals (top shots of corals are great so they can be rotated at any angle and viewed), so i can map and texture them properly.
Macros and close ups are good, but can't be used if they have a light reflection, so it's easier to have a bigger pic of the whole coral and crop, as i have to add lighting myself at different depths, if the image has lighting points on it already then it conflicts.

Any preditor tank owners out there??? I need all types of creatures from the sea.

I'll keep you all posted on the progress. It will be fun to do, though will take a month to complete, from creating the 3D objects from scratch and then animating realistically (lots of staring in LRSs to watch natural movement) and adding timing and different lights and multiple cameras etc...

Thanks again for the pics and keep 'em coming!!!!

    Cheers
    Tiff
