    Feeding

    Hi guys

Another question concerning feeding. In my tank I have 4 Maxijet 1200s running to create a good amount of water flow. When i feed my fish, I do so with small amounts of Mysis shrimp or whatever I am feeding for that matter. When i pour it in the tank it tends to get blown everywhere because of the current and my fish love it and go everywhere to get the food. I am sure in this chase some maybe get in the rocks, sands, etc. I dont over feed but its natural that there is some waste getting places. I am concerned for Amonia issues as I have had that in the past.

Would it be a good idea to close the maxis during feeding?

    Thanks

Check you ammonia nitrate nitrite (they will all most likely go up) if it is high then your feeding too much.

you could turn the pump off while feeding, or get more cleanup crew. Hermit crabs are good for finding bits of uneaten food.
    as are narc snails

I dont think a cleanup crew will last long for me. Remember I have a Clown Trigger. Even though he is small I dont see much of a future for a cleanup crew!
