    Remora Pro Please HELP!!!!!

    Hi Everyone,

I just got my Remora Pro yesterday and hooked it up today about 1 hour ago. I need some help this thing is very very loud sounds like a jet engine does this go away with time or is it always like that? I know it said that there will be a millions micro bubbles which I have will this also go away? I also found it very difficult to level and it is almost level but not quite is anyone else having this problem. It seems to be skimming way way more than my other but it is just to noisy. Also is it possible to put the pump on the bottom of the tank instead of the top say that way it is more pleasing to the Eye. I would really apreciate any help.

    Thank You
    Terry

    Hi,
The noise will be reduced significantly in about 2~3 weeks. There's still noise but is OK.
The bubbles won't go away, I bought the surface pre-filter. It helps a lot although there still some bubbles going through, but is also OK.
As for the position of th epump, you can send an email to Jason Kim, the President of AcquaC. He is quite good and responsive in answering quetions.
    Hope this help.

If you bring down your pump to a lower level you mightl have to increase the power of your pump.Do you have a power ajustment on the pump?

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all your replies. I had two more questions

    1) What direction do you have your pump facing the same as mine or the other way
    2) Do you leave the Mag pre-filter on or off?

    Thank You
    Terry

I have the same skimmer. The noise will decrease naturally, but be sure to check the gunk reservoir often as it may suddenly fill up. My pump is on the same way as yours but I do not use a prefilter. Suggest you check into the inlet / oulet box as this will help a lot with the microbubbles and esthetics. Worth the $60 or so.

What do you mean by 'suddenly fills up'? Would this cause a flood or other disaster?
