    The water level should be 1/2 inch below the top of the big tube. Then you cna raise or lower to meet your needs. That's from jeff. :-)

    MOMRULES is correct. I leave it around 1'' to 2'' as sometimes theres little fluctuations in water level. it works fine[even though its not hooked up yet] need pump.
