    Cool

If you have the plastic trim running right across the top of the tank then I would advice NOT putting a 400w MH lamp over that. some people cut that trim out [not recommended] and some will add 2 strips of glass along the top from side to side on the front and back glass [not worth it on your tank]. you might want to consider 250w x2 lamps or even 175w lamps for that tank. DE lamps are great.

Try to get ahold of them before it's shipped and see if you can switch it up for the 250's or 175's.

Well itís already halfway here. They canít do much about it.

The only thing I can do now is to cut the plastic trim, then go to M&T glass to ask them to cut me the same length as the plastic trim and replace it with a glass, therefore the light can penetrate through?
    What do you guys think?
Is it wise to cut the black plastic and replace it with an equal length or wider piece of glass there so that light can penetrate though?
Also what will happen if I cut the black plastic trim going across my tank?

PS: my glass is about 1 and a quarter cm thick.
