    I have
1- NO with 10k bulb and an Actinic blue
    1- VHO with 2 bulb white/blue
    1 power compact with 2x55w actinic and 2x65 10k
Swapping out my 2x70w MH with 10k with a 400w MH 13k PFO

Is this enough lighting? Cause i find some of my coral isnt fully opening under these setup that i have.

I have a 20G Long setup with 2 x 24" 75W VHO Actinics powered by a WH7 with a centered 175W ARC 14K MH running off a standard ballast, it lights up my tank very good, and its alot of lighting in ratio compared to what you have over your 90G!

It all depends on what you plan to keep really though...If you plan on keeping any SPS/clams I personally would go with 2 x 250W MH rather than one centered 400W MH. MH lighting covers approx 2'x2' area so if you have a STD 90G tank thats 48" long, that means the edges on your tank won't be lighted with the same intensity that the center is getting. Its not a big deal unless you wanna keep light demanding corals and clams in the center of the tank... As for actinics, seems like you have lots of small wattage bulbs rather than fewer higher wattage bulbs, personally I would switch those with fewer high wattage bulbs buts thats me...cause for actinics, its really personall preferance, depends on how much blue you like...

    I agree with Sniper.

Please let us know what your intentions are first...
Fish only? Softies? LPS? SPS? Mixed Reef?

mixed Reef only (and probably 2-4 fish)
    as for getting 2x 250w,
Because the way my canopi is setup, i cant place 2x250w but rather 1 400w halide.
I'm not too concern on the edges but more toward the middle of the tank. That is where all my coral are located.

I bought a Standard 48'' pc that sits in the back half of the fish tank. and im going to use the 400w on the other half + the VHO on top to compensate the lost light on the edge.

2 X 250 will delver more even lighting and will make better use of the light the bulbs produce when placed as close to the surface as we typically put them.

Well if you already have it you will likely want to pay close attention to the shape of the reflector so the bulk of the light that the bulb produces is directed at the waters surface instead of too far forward, backward or side to side.

what are the tanks dimensions? your going to have to put that in the middle matching the width of the tank to the width of the fixture as closely as possible. you will likely see that the center of the tank will be brightly lite with intensity decreasing as you move to ether end depending on the shape of your tank.
