    Sokol,
I'm using the exact same filter unit. I'm very happy with it. I've had it well over a year and a half, and have yet to replace the filters. I installed an inline TDS meter that still shows 0 TDS on the product water. (Input water is 88 TDS)

I highly suggest this unit for it's value and workability. I'd spring for an inline TDS meter though instead of the handheld one that they offer.

They are very reputable, customer service is great, and the unit was shipped from Vancouver and on my doorstep within a week.

I also have one of their 100GPD units & I'm happy with it.

    Cheers!

I have the filter for 5 months and also the in-line TDS meter. I suggest you to buy their handheld and buy the in-line from aquaria.ca. The reason being my water pressure is quite low and the output is like water drops resulting in probably non-accurate in-line TDS reading. So using the handheld as a double check would be great.

As the replacement cartridges are so cheap, so I am planning on replacing all of them (including the Di) every 6 months, whether the reading is still 0 or not.

Sokol, I purchased the same unit off ebay myself at way less than I could find anywhere else. I ordered the hand held TDS meter, it works real good, I also ordered that box of replacement filters...all in all I think it came up to about to just over 200$ CDN for RO/DI with 4G tank/faucet/auto-shutoff, handheld TDS meter and the case of pre-filters.

They are a very good unit, always get 0 on my TDS, go for it!

If you are talking about the reservoir(water holding tank) sold with some RO/DI system, no you don't need it. The purpose of that tank is just to hold 3g~ of water so when you want a glass, you dont wait for RO water to be slowly pumped in your glass of water, open the faucet and water comes from the tank.
