    The T4 is a good choice for the sump return but but is a little weak for the closed loop. I have actually chosen the T4 to run my sump and UV unit as the return from the sump.

    a mag 18 has roughly the same flow,so i guess either one is a good choice

    As I2ik suggested, a T4 would be a good choice for a sump return pump.

    However, a Mag18 is what I use, and have no issues with it. I'm quite happy actually.
