    Film Algae

Just wondering what others do to take care of this?

It is really the only thing that bothers me in the tank, I mean it takes me like 5 mins to clean it off with the mag float, but I was wondering if there was anything I can do to get rid of it?

    Mag float

A phosban reactor will help, once you see film algae again you likely need to change the media in your phosban reactor.

Aside from that... there's a mag float

    Cheers!

Yeah like I said I have a mag float and it works great, just was not sure if people had lany different types of snails that might take care of it. I have turbo, nassarius, blue legged hermits, and a conch.

I see the turbo on the glass, and the odd nassarius, but they just leave tracks in the algae where they moved through it.

That's all any animal will do. Some leave larger tracks than others (they're actually eating it) but there's none that I know of that will clean the glass as well as a mag float or other such device.

Having the snails etc. Increases the length of time before I'm annoyed enough with it to do the cleaning, but it doesn't elminate the requirement for the cleaning.

    Cheers!
