    The big move...

Well we moved last weekend and we are now in our new house. Everything went well and on Wednesday I moved the tank with the help of a friend. I made some modifications of the sump but not much changed.
The only loss I see right now is my pistol shrimp and a couple stems of candycane coral. I put the pistol shrimp in the tank and saw him later but I haven't seen him in a couple of days. My yellow watchman is swimming all around the place looking for him. He still might turn up.
On another note. I connected up my ro/di unit so I would have fresh water. I bought a tds meter and measured my well water. 550 to 600 ppm. After the ro/di unit. 0 ppm. thank goodness for the water conditioning.
Well I better stop typing because this is going to take forever to upload with dialup.... God, I feel like I am back in the stone ages... :b9:

glad to hear everything went well :b16:

hopefully the shrimp has just gone to hide will he molts, it is common for them to do this when things change. 550 - 600 is brutal, keep and eye on your membrane as it will probably wear out a lot faster than before. ( depending on the levels of your old place )

I guess you were right. My pistol shrimp showed up last night. The dynamic duo is back together. Now if I can just get my purple LTA to find a nice spot in the front of the rock on the sand bed would be great. He has attached himself to one of the rocks and I can't get him off. Once I get him off, I will position him in the sand and block him in so he won't move anymore.

the LTA will like it better on the sand anyway, he's just going to do it in his own time :b15:
