    Our tank at 7 Months!

    Hey Everyone!

We haven't been on here for a while, but wanted to share some pics of our tank. Thanks to everyone who helped us through the many problems haha!:b7:

    The beginning...

First pile of LR we got (and were so excited haha)

    Added some more LR...

    Couple zoas and clowns....

first lps/sps (never figure it out yet haha)

WOW we're so happy for this to be over with...

    Another algae shot...

Trying out our new tank fixture...

Light finally on the tank after painting and welding legs..

FTS as of a couple days ago...

And finally some coral shots...(We're bad photographers haha)

Turbinaria eating....we're impressed with its growth rate over 4 months.

    Frogspawn

    Can anyone ID?

    Crocea Clam

    Millie

Has really cool colours can't really notice it in the pic. pinkish/white back with bright neon green tips and polyps.

    Xenia

Favites (any ideas on how to colour this guy up? we've had it maybe 4 months, has never shown any sign of sweeper tentacles or feeding)

    LB

Don't have anymore fish or coral pics right now, but we'll try and get the rest on soon.

    Comments/advice welcome!
    Thanks!

thanks, any ideas on the favite?
we were thinking on chiseling it into a few different peices to try out different locations in our tank since its such a big peice right now its hard to move it anywhere else but the sand bed

I have a favite as well.. depending on the species... they are can be very slow growers. I have pics of mine dating ~1year ago. and watching it today.. i think it grew 1/2" over the sides and seem to want to grow around itself rather then attach to LR... wierd behavior. my frog spawn did attack it on a few occasions so I had to move him a few inches away. still, my frogspawn knows he's around cauz he's now growing in the direction of the favia.. it must sence its presence.

make sure your ca and trace elements are in check and you should be fine.
also, it does require moderate lighting. I had mine at the top of the tank and had to quickly drop him to the bottom, I was bleaching him.

if you want to feed it wait till about an hour after lights have gone out. I feed mine when it starts to lose colour. The tentacles will come out and it will more easily accept food, just feed anything frozen that you have...
