    Santa came early :)

    I got my Yellow Tang!
We've named 'it' (sex unknown) Lisa.. Lisa Simpson :P

SG she was in at LFS was 1.019!! Took over 3 hours to acclimate her to 1.025, Lisa did just fine, she was eating bits of nori I put in the bag with her and surprisingly showed no signs of stress during acclimation.

First thing she did was go bully the coral banded shrimp, 'Spike'. She cornered him under a rock and he was grabbing on to her with his puny little claws, I think it tickled and she liked it cause she kept going back! I was half hoping she'd eat him so I coud get some more beneficial shrimp..

I know many people feed their tangs romaine lettuce but that just can't be right? Lettuce doesn't grown in the ocean.. thoughts?

    Attached are pics.

They love Nori (aka seaweed). Most grocery stores carried the plain dried nori as sushi wrap. A lot cheaper then buying it at the fish store.

I know! He's almost gone through a clip's worth already
It's also crazy that the LFS's can get away with marking nori up so much! 16$ at the LFS or 4$ at the grocery store? Hmmm...

great looking tang :b16: , i'm with you on the "lettuce doesn't grow in the ocean" and while they will eat it, nori is better and more natural for them.
