    90G + 40G system build up

    Hello Everyone
90G is on her way (notice the french sexing of an aquarium):b7:
Anyway the stand frame is done and can hold a small car!
90g is perced painted and ready to go!

next step will be to x-fer everything, with me working on a truck,
off 4 days a week is making things just a bit harder.
This time im really stressed out, i dont want any loss.
I started a 23G for the corals, i filled up with frags to test it this week.
Oh and i found 3 orange ball (white ball) Pseudocorynactis sp. anemone hidding under rocks and in frags!!! kewl stuff
Next ill have pales and a 10G to hold the rocks and the inhabitants.
since everything might have to stay in their respective pale for a week...
The sump is somthing else, i need to remove most of the water to try n move it away from the old stand, and seeing the life in there im not sure how without loosing the critters.

Ill try n post pics so u guys can pick up any mistake before its 2 late.

    So...
    Everything is out!
    90G half full (water)
But, im not sure how to handle the Old sand.
I want to keep a DSB in the new aqua
The old sand is Very dirty
Should i wash it a little bit with salt water $$$$
Or i keep a few of the old one for the bugs
and wash the rest with freshwater
or is ther a 3rd options!!

Lemme know guys im doing this tonight

my personal opinion, if it was scooped out, it has lost its stages of nitrification and is all mixed up.. this will soon turn into a very nasty poisonous zone filled with hydrogen sulfides..etc.. so.. I would wash it down with regular tap water many many times with a grout/mortar mixer in a bucket til the water doesn't turn murky, then would rinse it twice with the same mixing method with ro water. start fresh.. you will thank me later

why the deep sand bed ? if you can put it somewhere else ( ie another sump or something ) I would do that.. unless you get 6-8" of the stuff.. its not going to do its job properly.

    hope this helps! :b2:

Thx liv will do, ill keep a bit apart to re-infest the new sand with old.
I did tons of reading @ WWM and with the fish i have and what i want...
i will have bout 6 inch+ of it.
unfortunately it will be stirred a lot by my fishes.
rock is in there stacked best i could, next time itll be better :b7:
pourred most sand in, water really merky.
cant wait for it 2 clear up so i can rearrange n place more rocks!
