    IJO - 12 Gallon Nano

I have acquired a 12 gallon nano tank and stand with custom CRE LED lights(thanks Tony). I figured this would be a good time to start a new thread to capture the progress of this tank. I'll try to snap a few pictures tonight.

Right now I'm thinking a couple seahorses and a rockscape inspired by the Bonsai Tree... any other idea's are invited(if you were to start over... how might you change your setup?).

    nice !
ya.. bonzai.. that goes pretty much all the way to the top of the tank.
get at least a few inches of aragonite or sand at the bottom so plants like colarpa can be attached at the bottom for the kudas to go on.
kudas dont like warm temperatures.. so you might want to tweak it to add a fan if it does not have one already.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

Maybe swap the stock pump. I noticed some heat increase from the pump

Thanks for the tip Tony... I could probably replace it with a Maxijet 400 or 600. The wife asked me to turn off the lights last night... she said they bright (mwhahaha gotta love LEDs!!!)

I've been reading on the care of seahorses and the more I read the more I want to stay away from that level of care... on the other hand... I find them very unique(a cool factor)

I'm still on the fence but might be switching to a ricordia/zoanthid setup with a bunch of small gobies(6-10), sexy shrimp, hermits and snails

kudas are definitely not low maintenance from what I read.

A few updated pics... I added about 1 inch of some southdown sand that was rinsed but still have a dust storm to wait out. I also included a pic of Tony's work with the custom LED lights.
