My new 65gal, comments are welcome!

    Hi everyone ,

I am actually setting up my new tank. There is now 10 gallons of water in it. The plumbing is not finish yet, a lot of work at school keep me from doing it... damn school... :errr:

Before setting up the tank on the stand I hade to level a sheet of wood because de floor was really not linear and level.

I have done it with many many many shims... I have redone it many times before achieving a good result...

Ihave attached some pics of my setup and of the shimming of the floor. As you can see the return pipe of the sump and the skimmer are not plumbed yet.

Please feel free to post any comments about it. I expect to have some feedback please!!! :biglaugh2

    My skimmer is a bullet-1 from precision-marine.
    I will run it with a mak4.
My sump is a 30 gal tank.
My return pump is a sen900, rated 900GPH.
I will us a Kalk reactor from acrylic city.
I will light my sump with a 10K 70W MH
    I will light my tank with a 175W and a 250w MH 14K.
I will use a wave2k for water movement in the tank
I will also use a phosban reactor
I will use the PH probe that Ivan sell also.

    Nice job.

But what kind of corals are you expecting to keep? I am asking because I have A 65 gallon SPS dominated tank and I have 2135 gallon an hour circulation.

Will the 950 gallon/hour pump be the only circulation?

I want to keep mostly SPS. With the 950 gal/hour pump I will also use a wave2K. That unit is suppose to be sufficient by itself to keep SPS in a 65 gal. So I expect I should be ok If not I will add powerhead or something like that!

    Thank for the great words!!
