Not fish related: How to fix a rust cut on your car ?

    This is not fish related.

I had a 2" cut on my car few months ago by some p*nk kids and it's starting to rust. I took the car to a auto bodyshop and they wanted like $400 to fix it :errr: . So i decide to fix it myself to save $$$. I need your help in what stuff/equipment/parts i should buy for this job and where (store) in the local Ottawa area ( best closer to the west end).

    thanks guys

Thanks azz. Can i get these "prime/filler/sand/paint/clearcoat" at Canadian Tire or do i have to go to the car dealer ? I'll snap the picture of the cut tonight.

    fix rust

    Hi there.
if there is a whole in your car.whereever it might be.the best product you can use is fillable fiberglass.........most car parts are made of this.such as tailgates, flairs.body kits.......
using bonndoo which is what most stores sell.Canadian tire /napa/autosource
will rust once again and will not be as good as fiberglass.provided you know what you're doing.......
there are people on the Pennysaver offering body work service at very good prices and with garantee quality of service.
    check them out. :speedbana

whatever material you use to fix the hole wont make the big difference...it's the way you prep the exposed metal under the patching. Make sure you use an anti rust product to stop the rust from coming back. C-Tire does have some decent stuff...
