    gh and kh?

    My general hardness is off the chart...it is so much high.My kh is twice the good value at 190.......what the best way to bring this down?I used ro water but once i didnt have enough ro water so i used tap water with buffers and it been 3 weeks.since then its sky high.Is water change the only way.

    Probably a few 30% water changes would be the easiest way to bring it down.

    When you used the buffers, didn't you measure first to find out how much you needed? I'm not sure how it got so high to begin with (not that it matters now).

    me neither but when i used regular tap water i didnt test it but i tested it today and its very hard here

    I guess next time you will test before adding something. I don't think the high hardness will harm the fish.
