    New baby lionfish

As i lost my beautiful lion fish some time ago i had to get a new one.I got a uv light and a diatom filter and ill tell you this tank looks healthy.I wanted to make sure that no parasites were present.

He is just beautiful. The lfs i purchased him from never sell livestock that has been less than 3 weeks in his hand.He had him for arounf 4 months.

Great looking fellow Volitan. How are the other fish in the tank doing. Sounds like your happy with your Diatom and UV unit.

my tank has stepped to a whole new level...no more red slime algea,The uv seems to have kill the parasites because my poor mans idol bannerfish had some grains of ick and its all gone. The diatom filter cleared all the tank.I could see a difference in one day.i have a coralife 18 watt uv and a xl diatom. The uv runs 24/7 and the diatom once a week for a day.

yes the UV will help slow down the spread of algae as it kills any spores that go thorough it. Glad things are looking so much better.
