    Air Canada = Crap

Well it all started this morning with a trip to the airport this morning to pick up my order of corals and fish from Ivan that were shipped yesterday evening. They were supposed to arrive in Newfoundland a little after midnight. SO when I went to the airport this morning I was told no that they were still in Montreal as they had been bumped from the flight. So now air canada tried to get in flown to Halifax and then to Newfoundland by 330 nfld time this afternoon. But yet again it was bumped. So they are now saying that it will arrive in Newfoundland tonight at around 10. Talk about crappy service on their part. Dont even know if I can claim any of it if there is mortality. Any advice?

They certainly don't get prime service, luggage gets priority over everything, my last shipment was bumped off of 3 flights in a row and arrived 36 hours late

How did it turn out, and could you claim for a shipping refund?

You can claim for a shipping refund and even 'goods' if you paid for the insurance and took 'same day' delivery shipping.

It's same with UPS, FEDEX, CAN PAR, DHL or any other shipper.

Unfortunatly insurance wasnt carried. So I guess I'm left with whatever liabiltiy they assume. However, according to the product tracing service they provide it states that it was removed from the flight out of Montreal earlier today. So according to their policy live pershiable goods are not supposed to be removed. I just hope that they stick to their policy.
