    macro algea refugium

    i have a delema i dont have space in my sump but i have surrounding space,i have 3.5"x13"x17" high,i can make a hang on refugium is this a good idea?doeo maco algea need sand surface more than water volume space.can anybody help me on this one.thanks

    a refugium is always a good idea.
    Chaetomorpha needs only water, doesnt need sand - it just floats.

    i want to put both,sand and macros ,but is it a good idea for the restricted space.?
