OFF TOPIC ! - my pictures of a barred owl

    Hi,

These were taken today while searching around the area for some wildlife to shoot.

I believe the english term for this bird is a barred owl ( french name is: chouette rayée )

She knew i was around way before I knew she was around
She was nice enough to let me take a few pics and gave me a chance to get real close to her, a good 15-20 feet away for 5min..( crawling on my knees in a field is not my favorite sport ) then her patience ran out

hope you enjoy them as I do.
    comments welcome

hope your planning on a bigger set up in the near future....just the lion alone needs a bigger tank than a 45.....and the shrimps and goby will be long gone

    Liv,

What is the area you took those pics?

    Agreed..working on a 60-90 gal..haven't decided.

keep in mind..Lionfish don't really swim..just "hang". They don't need tanks in the same respect that a tang(s) need a large tank.

i used my canon d300 with my 70x300 tamron, handheld as I had left my tripod in the truck.. on the other side of field. iso 400 f/5.0, 1/250sec on first pic and 1/640th sec on second and third pic. these were taken in Pontiac Qc.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.
