    Leather repair

My car has a leather seat and I discovered last night there is a cut/open for about 1" long on it. Can you recommend one leather repair kit that works and I can buy in Canada? The leather is black in color. And although the car is less than 3 years but the mileage is over the warranty limit of 60,000 km.

    Thanks.

Try putting stonger lighting in the car, and make sure to keep Alk and Ca up, it will grow back, leathers are quite resilient.

If you dont do anything about it it will get bigger with time. Where is the cut located?

It is the driver seat. If I sit on it, it is at the edge of my butt on the left side. I think this is the pressure point where I get in and out of the car.

    Toutouche: I wish.

I think most of you when looked at the subject "leather" thought that it is leather coral !

I always suspect that when the dealer serviced my car 2 weeks ago made the cut. No proof though.

Anyway, I went to Canadian Tire tonight and bought a leather repair kit for $10. I'll try to repair it sometime next week.

    Thanks all for the joke.

I work in a dealership and there are guys out there who specialize in those types of repair, might be found under vinly repair but most repair leather as well and they can also match the grain of the leather as well. Best bet i guess is to ask around at a few auto dealers for either company name or number or try yellow pages, but do not get it done through dealership as it will cost u more.
