Where to buy starboard for bare bottom

I'd like to go bare bottom for my next tank using starboard only and wonder where i could buy it in the Ottawa area.

    thanks.

Out of curiosity, why bother with the starboard? From what I've read they get covered in Coraline the same as a BB would, and actually can trap detrius underneath...

Starboard is just to protect the bottom glass from rock falling. I think as long as you keep it flush to the glass, there will be no trap detrius underneath.

I can't confirm if they do have Starboard but you may want to check Canus Plastics on Lisgar St (Ottawa).

I am for sure going BB on my next tank, I've done a little research about trying to get starboard up here, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but from what I've been told, you can't get it up here and the cost of shipping alone will be in the 200-300 dollar range. Myself I'm either looking at going raise pvc pipe and/ or egg crate or I was thinking about a plexiglass ( haven't heard to much on that. And yes it will get covered with coraline but I would feel safer with something other than just bare glass.
Do your research on reefcentral, there is tons of info on this.
If you do find starboard let me know.

I called Canus Plastic but they didn't carry it. I read over at RC some guys used "Pour on high gloss epoxy" mixed with sand for the bottom. It's rock solid when dry and looks similar to real sand bed. Problem is i can't find it in our local Home Depot. Otherwise it's a good alternative to starboard.

Do you guys have a GE Polymers place out there? I know a 4'x8'x1/2" sheet costs about $180 since I've priced it out myself.
