    Hi Salty,

I use a program called DVD X Copy made by Studio 123,its the one program that allows you to copy movies for personal use.

For your P.C you must have a bundled software for burning Home DVD`s, all you would have to do is open that program get the movie you want to burn and follow instructions that the program will tell you.

As for DVD X Copy you canot buy it anymore a U.S court ruled that it canot be sold anymore copyright infringment.
But theres a whole lot of copys floating around on the Net(Bareshare ect) of it.

I didn't get any emails? I know dvd rip xvid is a codec, whatever that is but, I really am lost here. So xvid is a way to encrypt the info? Puzzled Salty Steve.

    Hi Salty Steve,

Xvid is indeed a codec that most standalone DVD players will not read. Commercial DVDs that you buy of the shelf are using MPEG-2 so you need to convert back to that. (Which means the size will balloon considerably).

Here is a search that will show you a few tools you could use:

    Xvid to DVD

    Good luck
