It's just not worth it. The bits are too costly and inconsistent in quality to even project how many holes you will get form any given bit. Maybe someone else will give it a go.

Did you enquire Rob to the company that sells the bit about that problem?

Well Rob your not the only one that has that problem....Its seams that quite often...more than it should.I either get bad after purchase service or never get an email or a call back...Was the price difference from canada and US so differrent that you had to purchase for the Us?

there is NO ONE in Canada who supplies these bits at wholesale. If I bought them in Canada they would cost twice as much. I also sent mail to the only 2 manufacturers I could find in Canada and they also did not bother to return my mail. They are not interested in selling the odd bit to an individual.

I would think that glass shops buy their bits by the dozen or more and get the discount. Glass shops don't really get into JUST drilling holes in glass. They are more interested in doing holes that are part of a JOB they are doing that involves suppling the glass as well. things like holes in mirrors for air thermostats, holes in glass office doors for hinges and handles. Holes that are a small part of a BIGGER contract.
