    Question Shipping To Us.

not sure if I'll get much help on this but does anyone know the best way to ship a package to the US? heres the deal,,
the pump I want to ship is a little heavy [HAMMER HEAD]
I've been told that there will be a brokerage fee plus US taxes at the boarder. If I send it as a gift theres a $100 max so then I could not insure the pump for its worth. what is the best way to ship door to door or does that not really exist anymore??
I called FEDEX,UPS and CANADA POST.how are people sending things across the boarder and avoiding this brokergae fee? and taxes on a used item??

No Brokerage fees with Canada post or USPS. only carrier services..

as for the value. i don't think you can insure more then you place a value on it.

anything used should not have duties or taxes.

im going to the US today will check at the border about it..

    Cool

I bought some lighting years back and was charged a brokerage fee.
I went to CANADA POST and was told the same thing as FEDEX and UPS. possible brokerage fee at the border?
so your saying just go to CANADA POST and ship it ground and not to worry about it?

if you send it ups ground you will have to pay brokerage fees for sure, if you send ups express there is no brokerage fee.although its expesive. if you send canada post i dont think there is brokerage fees, but not 100% sure.

Under US Customs Section 321 items under 200 dollars is not dutiable or taxable. On the contrary we Canadians need to pay duties and taxes on any item over 50 dollars.

Please put the comment " Exempt under Sec. 321" on your commercial invoice if shipping through Fedex or UPS.

    Cool

love the pump but I'm trying something else. My plumbing IMO wasn't thought out enough and was getting some harmonics through the pipes. It was a tad to loud for the placement [right beside the TV area]. I'd have to sit the pump on the groung outside the stand and re do plumbing in order for this to work so its easier just to change the system.
