    Moose Accident

Well at about 3:20 am on thursday morning i struck a moose on highway 1 outside of saint john, i just thought i'd share some pictures of what the moose did to my car, i hit it going 110 kmh, and needless to say i'm pretty lucky to be alive, instead of crashing through the windshield, it rolled up the hood and over the top of the car, it jumped right out in front of me and i didn't even have time to hit the brakes.
The worse part of the whole thing is that this isn't covered in my insurance, and the car is pretty much totaled, but i'm just thankfull to be alive.

Looking at the picture, you're very lucky not to get hurt, Bud.

Yah thats what the paramedics said, they assume when they're called out to a moose accident that the driver and passengers are dead, the thing that saved us was the fact that the moose didn't fall into the windshield

Wow very lucky Mark. I had a close call about 9 years ago with a moose also. Man they gotta do something about that highway. Witch highway? The one on the way to Fredericton?

    Cheers,

That highway is pretty bad going to Saint John next to Petersville. I seen a big one there the other day on my way into the field. All the same he wouldn't have done much damage to what I was driving!!!! :biggrinbo

Unless you where driving a tank you might be wrong.. I have seen 18 wheelers hit a moose and totally screw up the front end of the truck, givin the moose was toast, but the truck was in pretty bad shape!

Actually the truck is a piece of crap. It can't get over 40km/h on a hill. Not to mention I was towing a Welding trailer. The moose would probably bounce off us, look and then laugh. Oh those fine military vehicles that we have to drive.

But no i wasn't a tank....... but it was green!!!:bananadan
