Talking Road Trip - Nova scotia & PEI

I'm thinking of taking a road trip at the end of july to see Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island (well me and the family) Just wondering whether any residents of these places have any advice, places to see, to stay, good beaches, restaurants etc etc.
    Thanx

The skiing sucks this time of year, unless it's on the water.

    Pluff is absolutely correct! :biggrinbo

Steve, PEI is a SURE success! Unless you get hit by a hurricane. ;-) My favourite place there is on the North shore, near a place callled Cavendish. There is a National park there where you can find some very beautiful beaches. Was there 2 summers in a row, last year and the year before. We rented a cottage in a place called The Windermills" or something like that. I can look it up if you need more info. My wife just loves the place!! HTH

    Nova Scotia Rocks!

Cape Breton is a must, do the Cabot Trail, stop in @ Louisburg, tour the Glen Breton Distillery (hic!) all great places.

Hit Queensland beach outside of Halifax (ooo wave babies) and be sure to have fish and chips at Peggy's Cove (on the round about way to Queensland beach. Most bars per block east of Montreal in Halifax (The Economy Shoe Shop is great for beers and great food (not just pub fare!) for pub fare you
gotta hit the Lower Deck and then take in a harbour cruise.

The valley is aways nice, you can tour some of the vinyards and sample the wares!

If you hit the HRM let me know and I'll show you my tank and the benefits of NSW :-)

Have to agree 100% to the following: Cape Breton, Louisbourg, Cabot Trail, Halifax, Peggy's Cove. Been there, drove everywhere... Over 4,000 KM both years. Grand tour of the Maritimes! Pheewww!!!! :redcar: And no speeding ticketeither!! :cop:

Next on the list is The Rock!! Wanted to do it last year, but not enough time to "see it all".

Anyhoo... Can't go wrong in doing a gran tour of the Maritimes! If you love seafood.... That's seafood heaven!!

    Cheers!!
