Nice shot of a scooter in a feather duster. Scooters don't host but I'm surprised that the feather duster didn't pull in his crown. Neat shot.

I had a clarkii do the exact same thing! He was hosting to a featherduster and the featherduster never retracted.

I know there is no symbiotic relationship, but I have seen the blenny go and lay in the duster before. The feather duster retracts if I put my hand near it, but seems to be ok with the blenny. I think the duster may be grooming or feeding something from skin (no scales) of the blenny.

What legs are you using for your lights? They the ones that clip on and you can tilt the lights back on hinges?

    Cheers

The lights are on legs clipped to the bare tank rim. And yes they have hinges so it flips up.
Its got cheapo jebo bulbs which should be replaced, however.

Yes Salty this has been going on all day. He just lays inside the duster and the duster doesn't seem at all bothered by it. But, the duster retracts fast if I put my hand in inside the tank. So, it knows the difference. I was checking since I thought maybe the duster was sick and couldn't retract, but that's not the case.
