    pic ?'s

hey camera wizards. ive got two questions comin your way. the first is when i took pics of my tank i saved the pics on my desktop, and when i did i didnt choose the option to post on web. i guess that makes them large in size it seems. the pics are about 376 Kb. how do i get the pics smaller. i cant figure it out.

2 i use a little digital elf and my pics are blurry. i try to hold it as still as possible. is it because my camera has to be on a different setting or do i need a tri-pod?

    thanx in advance.

you can resize your pictures with mspaint if you like
    its quick and easy..
    click on START, RUN
    type: mspaint

    in mspaint, load your picture,
    click stretch/skew
try 50% on both vertical and horisontal in the STRETCH and see what it looks like if you dont like it, click edit and undo and change your ration again.
click save once you are happy,
i suggest you make yourself a copy of the file first so you can play around with it

tripods are great for still pictures, if your camera has a speed mode, usually a running man or similar, try this mode..
i'll go check out the digital elph and get back to you on the modes.

your digital elph seems to have an option called "kids and pets".
This is possibly your automatic speed mode.
I also found you have a manual mode, if the kids and pets mode does'nt do the job, set your camera in manual mode and put the highest iso ( 400 ) on your camera, and lower your aperature if you can to its lowest number setting and take the pic. if its too bright or too dim, you have the option to change your shutter speed, you can go from 15sec to 1/1500 of a second. if its dark you will need to lower your shutter speed ex: from 1/200 sec to 1/100 sec.
if its too bright, you will need to raise your shutter from ex; 1/200 to 1/400 and try it again.

let us know how it turns out.

The easiest way to resize pics is to go to the MS Windows webpage and download the "PowerToys Image Resizer". Then it's as easy as right clicking on a pic and choosing what size you want it to be.
