    Clown guys

I have 2 TB Percs .. still very small... one stripe near the head, and then a white dot around the midsection...
the q is.... how long does it take these little buggers to host with an anemone? and if there isn't one.. but there are some soft corals.. I've heard that they could potentially host with that... is this something that happens in a few days? weeks? months?

    cheers,

    Mike

I don't... I'd rather have them host to a coral than to get an anemone.

    Ahhhh.

Well, they will eventually host to somthing, it may be a coral, feather duster, powerhead, you never know with those guys.

I also have a pair of juvenille percs, and so far they have been hanging around the powerhead in the upper back corner of the tank since I got them in Aug. I have two BTA's, and no luck yet.

well, I just picked up 2 today.... and they did the same thing... powerhead in the upper right corner... so I turned the halides off... and they started exploring... one has since returned to the powerhead... and the other disappeared
I've got a lot of caves and stuff in my rockwall... hopefully he'll turn up soon... I've been looking for him for 20 mins now...

so how long can clowns disappear for?
I just can't seem to find him.

inhabitants in there so far: a yellow tang, purple tang, koran angel, a tuxedo urchin, a cleaner wrasse, mandarin goby, and the new percs.
I highly doubt any of the other inhabitants can swallow this thing whole... any ideas to make a perc come out of hiding other than time?

Just to let you know, they might never host a coral or something that you would want. Even if you did place an anemone in the tank, there is no guarantee they will take to it. It's not so,ething you can force them to do, it's up to them and you will have to be patient and enjoy watching them do what they do.
