Best skimmer for $225? Thinking about Coralife 220g SS

I am looking to buy the Coralife 220G Super Skimmer for my sump but it seems to have mixed reviews.

What beats the CSS for the same money and why is it better?

There are no real solid specs on skimmers so its impossible to compare why Brand A is better than Brand B.

if I had to do it all over again, I would buy a asm skimmer instead of the css125, my css gets the job done but the asm are about the same price and sure look alot better

Where can you get an asm skimmer for the price of the CSS125?

    superskimmer220 is 240$
    asm g1x is 349$ to 380$ for the G-2

in the world of skimmers, that is pretty much the same (CHEAP) go see what a deltec or a euroreef or h&S is $$$$

in the same range, a deltec is 750$ (aph-525)
    H&S is 740$ (150-f2001)

If you wanna go with the css, it will work, but I hate mine... always needs a adjustment... your are better off with a asm that is alot cheaper then the high end stuff and works great. If you think that 100$ more in the world of skimmers is not in the same price range then buy the css and you'll want to buy something else in 6 months...

TOX is absolutely right. $100 between skimmers aint much and the ASM skimmers have a better track record and build

Yeah, In the grand scheme of things 100$ is nothing.

Would you all agree that ASM is the best value skimmer? I mean they are basicly a euro reef kock-off with lower build quality correct?

Im looking at the ASM G3 with 5000 pump. I can get that for around $350 CAD.

I actually just made my final decision on a skimmer.

I didin't want to spend this much but I refuse to replace hardware down the road.

    I will be ordering the Euro-Reef RS135.

    It's about $370 CAD.

you won't have to upgrade thats for sure. i was going to suggest a RS100 earlier but i figured it was well over the $225. i run a RS250 on my 120 and it pulls like mad.
